Shipping policy

We ship across Canada only, by ground only. Fragrance is classed as a flammable liquid (UN1266) and cannot move as general air cargo, which rules out both international delivery and the overnight services you may be used to. We would rather say that plainly than quietly ship something that should not be on an aircraft.

Processing time

Decants are filled to order, not picked from stock. Orders are packed and handed to the carrier within two to five business days. You will receive a dispatch email when that happens.

Transit time

Ground delivery within Canada typically takes five to ten business days on standard mail, and five to eight on the tracked service. Atlantic Canada and the territories take longer, and Prairie winter storms close highways — when they do, ground freight stops rather than reroutes. If you need something for a specific date in January, order well ahead.

These are carrier estimates, not guarantees. We cannot commit to a delivery date on a service that does not offer one.

Rates

Standard Canada Post mail is $11.99 CAD, and free on orders of $50 CAD or more. Tracked Canada Post shipping is $19.99 CAD and is the option we recommend on anything valuable — see below. Ground parcel pricing has a floor regardless of weight, which is why a single 5ml costs nearly as much to ship as four do, and why ordering several at once is substantially better value.

Tracking

Two services are offered at checkout. Tracked shipping gives you a tracking number and scan events along the way. Standard mail is cheaper and travels without tracking — it arrives the way a letter does, with no link to watch. Either way we send you a photo of your packed parcel after it is handed over, so you can see what left our hands.

How it is packed

Decants ship in rigid boxes with the atomizer bagged and cushioned, never in padded envelopes. Glass in a mailer does not reliably survive a parcel sorter, and limited-quantity rules for flammable liquids require rigid outer packaging regardless.

Fragrance does not freeze at Canadian temperatures. Some formulations turn temporarily cloudy in deep cold and clear again as they warm, which is harmless.

Addresses

We ship to Canadian addresses, including PO boxes and rural routes. Please check your address at checkout — we cannot redirect a parcel once it is in the carrier's network, and an order returned to us as undeliverable is refunded less the shipping cost.
